Our Philosophy

The Best Care Every Single Visit

Welcome to Allard Animal Hospital. Your local veterinarian in Edmonton, Alberta. We’re proud to provide a wide variety of veterinary medical and surgical services for Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, Hedgehogs, Ferrets, Guinea Pigs, Hamsters, Chinchillas, Degus, Mice and Gerbils in Edmonton, Leduc, Beaumont, Devon, Sherwood Park, Spruce Grove, and surrounding areas.

When opening Allard Animal Hospital we had the vision to create a clinic that would become a partner with owners to better help care for their companions. We understand that doctors and medicine can seem scary and overwhelming and wanted owners to feel comfortable when walking through our doors and to be part of the decision-making process for their pets.

From the moment you walk in, our goal is to make you and your pet comfortable. We have separate waiting areas for dogs and cats/small mammals as well as separate exam rooms. We utilize gentle handling techniques, we have dimming switches in all rooms for both patient and client comfort. We take our time with each patient, educate you about decisions along the way, and make ourselves available for any questions or concerns. We want you to be the best friend a pet can have, and the most informed guardian they could ever wish for.

We strive to personalize and individualize pet care for each unique pet and their family. Personalized preventative care strengthens the bond between pets and their caregivers. By understanding and responding to a pet’s unique needs, caregivers show them love and respect, creating an environment of trust and comfort. This emotional connection enhances the pet’s happiness and sense of security, making them feel truly cared for.

We pride ourselves on open and honest communication to develop the trust that will allow us to better treat your pet. This means faster healing, more disease prevention, and optimal health for years to come.

This is not just an animal hospital.

Here, you are part of a team. A team of like-minded individuals who strive to strengthen the bond that exists between you and your pet. Within these walls, we treat one another with respect and dignity, we laugh, we cry, we demonstrate trust, we adapt to change in order to stay current, and most importantly, we take the time to listen to ensure the health and wellness of all members of your family.

We are not any animal hospital. We are ALLARD ANIMAL HOSPITAL.

Safety is Important

We never cut corners. We are committed to adhering to the strictest standards of safety, care, and comfort. We monitor our patients closely to keep them as safe as possible for all procedures that require sedation or general anesthesia. We have invested in the most up to date anesthetic and monitoring equipment including heart, temperature, blood pressure, breathing and Co2 monitors. We also have a ventilator and a rigid endoscope to assist in higher risk anesthetic procedures including exotics and geriatric patients.

We follow strict framework for safe anesthesia for pets before, during, and after their surgery.

The steps include:
